SKANSI OFFSHORE | Sjóborg receives an award

February this year, Sjoborg received an award from #Equinor for best energy consumption improvement in 2022.

To achieve such a good result, our employees have focused heavily on keeping fuel consumption down, by carefully planning the entire voyage.

In addition, the battery system and shore connection helps them manage the fuel consumption better.

The battery system reduces fuel consumption in DP-operation and whenever possible, Sjoborg uses shore connection. This means, that instead of using generators while in port, Sjoborg, and all our other vessels, can operate without generators running, and instead use shore-based power. In fact, in 2022 Sjoborg’s shore connection rate was 100%.

We are always working towards improving ourselves and achieving new goals, and this prize shows that all our hard work is paying off.
